From experience level 23 onwards, players can use the Layout Edit Mode to edit the current layouts of their farm, and to create new ones.

The same features unlocks at experience level 34 for the town. Players have one mode for the town and another one for the farm but they function the same way.

Edit mode is accessed by tapping the edit icon at the bottom right of the screen.

Layout Slots

Layout Slots Screen

Farm and village layouts are saved in slots. Players begin with two slots in each location (including the active layoutComputer code), but can buy more using diamonds. The first extra slot costs 20 diamonds, the second one 40, and the last one 80. When buying a new slot in the farm it will not open another slot in the town

One layout at a time is set as active, indicating it is currently being used for gameplay. Active layouts are indicated by a green check mark on the layout slots screen. A layout must have all essential items (production buildings, fields, animal shelters, trees and bushes) placed before it may be set as active.

Players can copy an existing layout and paste it onto another slot.

Erase Mode
Store button

When editing their established layouts, players can store everything they have bought in the shop.

They can use the erase mode to store items one by one or the store icon to store:

In new layouts, all items are automatically stored from the start.

Paintbrush icon

Certain items (fields, trees and bushes, and decorations) can be placed in rows (instead of one by one) using the paintbrush icon.

Players can then discard or save their changes using the check and X icons at the bottom left of the edit screen.

Strategy tips

  • Make sure you name your layouts before you save them because if they get lost the first thing the developers will ask you is did you name it.
  • Different types of trees or bushes are fungible between layouts. As an example, imagine you have two layouts with all essentials placed, and cut down 5 cherry trees while playing in the active layout. If you subsequently buy 5 trees of any type while still in the active layout, they will be automatically placed in the inactive layout. However if you buy a 6th tree it will need to be placed manually in the inactive layout.
